Types of Operation Staplers

Based on different scopes of application, operation staplers can be mainly divided into: linear operation staplers, circular operation staplers, linear cutting staplers, purse-string staplers, dermal fascial staplers, and laparoscopic staplers, etc.

Linear Operation Staplers

Although this stapler has only one function, it is widely used, mainly for closing the stumps of bronchi, esophagus, stomach, duodenum, intestines, and blood vessels. Different models can be selected based on different tissues, but it should be noted that this type of operation stapler does not have a cutting function.

Circular (Ring) Operation Staplers

This type of operation stapler can be further subdivided into circular (anorectal) operation staplers, tubular (digestive tract) operation staplers, and ring cut staplers, based on the application.

Circular (Anorectal) Operation Staplers

This type can be further divided into: PPH staplers (Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids) and TST staplers (Transanal Stapled Technique). The specific difference between the two lies in the fact that TST is a selective operation stapler, developed on the basis of PPH technique. TST uses a special anoscope to form different open-ring windows, uses a stapler head to lock the hemorrhoid nucleus, and adjusts the excision range of the hemorrhoid mucosa based on the size and number of hemorrhoids, maximizing the protection of the normal function of the anus.

Tubular (Digestive Tract) Operation Staplers

Single-use, avoiding cross-infection; enlarged bending curvature for easier instrument insertion; overall ring knife ensuring reliability; unique suture needle design and processing, making suturing and cutting more favorable.

Single-Use Circumcision Staplers

The single-use circumcision stapler is mainly used in urology for the combined cutting and suturing of an overlong prepuce. It simplifies and makes the complex circumcision procedure convenient, quick, and safe, while also solving the two major problems of prepuce edema and pain caused by clamping during traditional circumcision, thereby effectively reducing patient suffering and significantly shortening the operation time.

Linear Cutting Staplers

Large opening facilitates position adjustment; unique trigger button for ease of left and right operation; complete range of specifications suitable for various surgeries; patented cam design for easier operation; the same instrument can replace different thickness tissue reloads.

Curved Cutting Staplers

Combines cutting and suturing in one instrument, has a small size suitable for pelvic anatomy, and has certain advantages in low rectal cancer anus-preserving surgery; cuts and sutures simultaneously; unique curved head design; severable gasket; easy insertion into the pelvis; replaceable staple cartridges; enters lower position of the pelvis.

Laparoscopic Operation Staplers

Standard Laparoscopic Operation Staplers

Rotating staple cartridges for more flexible operation in narrow surgical spaces; consistent spacing control ensures uniform stapling of the distal and proximal tissue; disposable safety device avoids reuse of used cartridges, ensuring surgical safety; wide front opening of the staple cartridge facilitates tissue entry; the same instrument can be used with all models of staple cartridges, reducing operational complexity;

Electric Laparoscopic Operation Staplers

Unlike traditional manual laparoscopic operation staplers operated mechanically, the electric laparoscopic operation stapler uses power sensing to sever tissue while firing staples between the two rows of staples. Compared with manual operation staplers, electric laparoscopic operation staplers have better hemostasis, thus enhancing both clinical and economic value.

Dermal Operation Staplers

Single-use dermal operation staplers are used for suturing surface skin; they are simple to operate, have fast suturing speeds, and ensure good post-operative incision healing.
